COMMUNITY LITERACY FOUNDATION TO HOST ONLINE BABY QUILT AUCTION
Beginning February 1, the Community Literacy Foundation will host “Quilted with Love,” a month-long online baby quilt auction. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Foundation’s Rooted in Reading project.

Join us for a FREE family reading event on March 7, 2025, at Washington Middle School. Three-time Caldecott Honoree Marla Frazee will be our special guest author and illustrator Marla Frazee!
The Community Literacy Foundation will hold a Backyard Book Fair in the backyard of Neighborhood Reads Bookstore.
Paperback copies of juvenile fiction, YA, and adult books will be available for a $1 donation. Hardback books for all ages will be available for a suggested $5 donation.
All proceeds will benefit the Community Literacy Foundation’s quest to promote reading in the community.
Missouri native, Colter Jackson is coming back to Washington! Her book, The Rhino Suit, was featured at Family Reading Night 2023. She's returning to share her new book, Everyday Brave, at the Summer Reading Kick-off Party and will lead another workshop.
Young readers - and those just young at heart - are invited to this FREE family event celebrating reading!
LET’S READ! Educators, librarians, student leaders and athletes, police officers, firefighters and many more community friends will share incredible stories throughout the evening.
LET’S CREATE! School parent organizations will host tables with lots of fun book crafts.

The Community Literacy Foundation, in partnership with the School District of Washington, Washington Public Library, Friends of the Library and the Washington Optimist Club, will host Family Reading Night on Friday, March 1, at Washington Middle School.

Our online registration is now closed. Please join us this Saturday at the Washington Public Library for the 5k Run, 5k Walk or 1-Mile Story Stroll. Onsite registration begins at 7 a.m.
