Clover is everyone’s book buddy.
Each month, Clover suggests three books for children – a youngest, middle and oldest read – and writes about them in the Book Buddy column. The Book Buddy column is released monthly and can be found here or on the Neighborhood Reads book blog, Bound to Read.
Clover was created by author/illustrator Marla Frazee as a gift to promote children’s literacy. Marla is a Boston Globe–Horn Book Award for Picture Book and two-time Caldecott Honor winner. She is the author-illustrator of many books, including The Boss Baby, the book that inspired the DreamWorks Animation film Boss Baby. Learn more about Marla.
Area service clubs, businesses and individuals have placed their trust and value in the Book Buddy youth literacy effort and have generously donated to allow the Community Literacy Foundation to provide books for 39 school and public libraries! Inside each book are stickers recognizing the donors.
The Community Literacy Foundation is committed to promoting reading in our area, especially among children. We are grateful to our area educators and librarians for their work inspiring readers and to our donors for partnering with the Community Literacy Foundation on this exciting program.
